 he first Sunday of every month\, Spectrum Big Queer Hike will feature begi
 nner-friendly hikes on trails all around the Waterloo region. These events

 ous natural treasures this region has to offer\, while bonding with other

 wy winter\, but it is time to come out of hibernation and get outside! For
  March we are going to check out a section of the Walter Bean Grand River 
 Trail\, starting at Pioneer Tower and going to the pedestrian foot bridge 
 over the Grand River. This will be a leisurely 3km stroll with some nice s
 cenic views.\n\n**Date:** 1st March 2026\n\n**Time:** 11:00 AM to about 12
 :30 PM\n\n**Trail Name:**\, The Walter Bean Grand River Trail\, Kitchener\
 n\n**Meeting Point:** Pioneer Tower\, 300 Lookout Ln\, Kitchener\, ON N2P 
 2X8 (in front of the Tower)\n\n**Distance:** ~ 3km\n\n**Difficulty**: Begi
 nner\n\nStreet parking is available on Pennsylvania Crescent\, Terrace Woo
 d Crescent and Joseph Schoerg Crescent. The parking lot near Pioneer Tower
  does not have regular snow removal\, so street parking is recommended ins
 tead.\n\n## Accessibility Notes: \n\nThe trail is a wide packed gravel pat
 h with some moderate slopes. The trail could be icy depending on the weath

 igenous\, Queer\, Non-Binary neurodivergent individual\, draws from their 
 lived experiences to inform community and advocacy work. With extensive ex
 perience in community development\, queer activism\, and climate advocacy\
 , they actively engage with diverse communities. Karla actively contribute
 d insights and policy recommendations to Wilfrid Laurier's Gendered and Se
 xual Violence Student Advisory Committee\, advocating for survivor support
